Fiscal 2009
This project aims to further enhance and develop the environment so that students can confidently face the important opportunity to confirm their future and the direction they should take in the adopted program "Supporting students in finding the right career by eliminating the gap between human resource needs and student awareness." The details are as follows:
- 01. Guidebook printing and binding will distribute the guidebook that we have created to all students who attend the job-hunting guidance session. We will also distribute them thereafter as necessary to provide a certain amount of knowledge and information about employment and to help students with a smooth job-hunting process.
- 02. Various mock tests and courses include general knowledge and SPI mock tests. Career courses and vocational aptitude tests provide information on industries, companies, and occupations.
- 03. The introduction of a job-hunting support program centered on correcting application forms will allow for remote guidance on application forms, which was previously based on face-to-face meetings, regardless of location or time, and will expand the scope of the program to students who have had difficulty receiving direct support in the past. Pre-explanation guidance and post-examination feedback guidance will be provided to those who wish. In parallel, online tests will be conducted to develop basic social skills.
- 04. A briefing session will be held for corporate recruiters, where representatives from the university corporation, the university's executive board, and each faculty's career services committee will provide explanations about Aoyama Gakuin University 's research, education, and employment support programs, as well as explanations about companies' recruitment plans.
- 05. Regarding the appointment of counselors for job-hunting consultations, we will expand the number of consultation windows by adding part-time counselors to regular full-time staff during certain periods when students' job-hunting activities are at their peak.
- 06. In the consultation session with graduates, students are given the opportunity to interact with graduates who are actually working in society after graduation, and to imagine what their own work life will be like after graduation. In addition, graduates will give advice on what they need to do in the future.
- 07. In updating the job posting system and requesting job openings, we update fluctuating company information to reflect the latest data and request companies to directly post job openings to Aoyama Gakuin University.
Through these efforts, the project aims to further enhance and develop the selected initiatives, thereby bridging the gap between companies' personnel needs and students' aspirations, and ultimately helping them discover suitable careers.
