Teacher's certificate

This course is designed to help students obtain the teaching licenses necessary to become teachers at Kindergarten Building, elementary schools, junior high schools, and high schools.
Aoyama Gakuin University 's teacher training program began in the 1880s with the training of English teachers, and we have produced a large number of teachers every year, earning high praise from society.
Teacher's licenses can be obtained by acquiring the credits stipulated in the Teacher's License Act and its Enforcement Regulations at a university or other institution, for each type of school (Kindergarten Building, elementary school, junior high school, high school, etc.) and, for junior high and high schools, for each subject (English, Japanese language, science, etc.).

*Based on the Child Sexual Violence Prevention Act (effective December 25, 2026), if a prior conviction for a specific sexual offense is confirmed, you will not be able to participate in teaching practice and will not be able to obtain a teaching license.

Librarian teacher

A "school librarian" is a qualification necessary to perform specialized duties in a school library. To obtain this qualification, it is necessary to acquire credits for courses offered at Aoyama Gakuin University based on the relevant laws and regulations, such as the "School Library Law," and to obtain a teaching license (for elementary, junior high, or high school).

A "librarian" is a professional staff member of a public library. To obtain this qualification, it is necessary to acquire credits for courses offered at Aoyama Gakuin University based on the relevant laws and regulations, such as the "Library Law," and to hold a bachelor's degree.

Social Education Officer

A "Social Education Supervisor" is a professional who is qualified to be involved in local social education activities. As an employee of the prefectural or municipal board of education, they are professionals who provide guidance and advice on social education activities such as youth education and lifelong learning at local community centers and educational facilities.
To obtain this qualification, one must acquire credits for courses offered at Aoyama Gakuin University based on the relevant laws and regulations, such as the "Social Education Act," pass the local government employee recruitment examination after graduation, and then gain at least one year of experience as an assistant social education officer at an education board or similar organization. A "curator" is a professional who is qualified to work as a specialist in museums, art galleries, aquariums, zoos, botanical gardens, etc., and is responsible for collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and researching materials.
To obtain the qualification of "curator," it is necessary to acquire credits for courses offered at Aoyama Gakuin University based on the relevant laws and regulations, such as the "Museum Law," and to hold a bachelor's degree.
