Course
"Course registration" refers to applying to the university to take courses that are arranged according to the curriculum of each faculty or department, and "earning credits" refers to attending classes, passing exams, and earning credits. The entire process from "course registration" to "earning credits" is called "course enrollment."

At university, you can choose the courses you take within the scope of the curriculum, but always keep in mind that you are responsible for the process leading to graduation.
Course Plan
At university, each student makes a course plan according to the curriculum and selects the subjects they wish to take. Some courses are "pre-registered courses" (compulsory courses, etc.) that are registered in advance, and students make course plans for other time periods. When making a course plan, students should thoroughly understand the curriculum and give priority to completing the compulsory courses set by their faculty/department, as well as meeting the requirements set out in the course regulations for promotion and graduation (promotion conditions/graduation requirements). There is a set number of credits that can be applied for in one year (maximum credit limit).
Course registration
"Course registration" is a very important procedure that takes place at the beginning of a semester in which you register with the university the courses you wish to take that semester.

Credit transfer system with other universities
Aoyama Gakuin University has concluded agreements with Kokugakuin University, Jissen Women's University/Jissen Women's Junior College and Seishin Women's University regarding the "Sibuya Four-University Collaborative Credit Transfer System," with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies regarding the "Credit Transfer Agreement between Aoyama Gakuin University University and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies," and with Izumi Junior College, Kitasato University, Sagami Women's University/Sagami Women's Junior College and Showa Pharmaceutical University regarding the "Sagamihara /Machida Regional Educational Collaborative Credit Transfer Agreement."
Orientation Tutor
At Aoyama Gakuin University, we have established an "Orientation Tutor" (abbreviated as "Oritar") as one of the support services for new students.
Orientation tutors are senior students from each faculty who assist new students with course registration and provide advice on student life during the orientation period (early April) before the start of classes in the new academic year. This is expected to help alleviate new students' anxieties about university life.
