Liaison Center Vision and Mission

Aoyama Gakuin University University launched the Liaison Project at Sagamihara Campus in 2017, and relaunched it as the Liaison Center in 2019.
In order to meet societal demands, and taking into account the needs of local communities and businesses, as well as trends in academia and technology,
To promote commissioned and collaborative research with local communities and companies, we will strengthen Aoyama Gakuin University 's systematic research support system.
To give back to society the interdisciplinary research results that transcend disciplinary boundaries, which are a distinctive feature of Aoyama Gakuin University, we will promote practical research and development.

"Regarding the revision of the template for commissioned research agreements and joint research agreements"

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support in promoting Aoyama Gakuin University 's commissioned and collaborative research projects.
Aoyama Gakuin University has revised its handling of inventions, effective from fiscal year 2026, with the aim of further promoting education and academic research and contributing to society by ensuring the proper handling, management, and utilization of intellectual property rights.
Accordingly, we will be reviewing and revising the intellectual property clauses in the commissioned research agreements and joint research agreements that we conclude with companies and external organizations.
Going forward, all newly concluded contracts will, in principle, use the revised contract template.
We would greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

<Joint Research>: Research conducted jointly by Aoyama Gakuin University and a joint research organization, with the university accepting researchers and research expenses from an external organization, and sharing the responsibility for a specific issue.

<Contract Research>: Research conducted by Aoyama Gakuin University under contract from external organizations, including research, testing, surveys, and analyses, where the costs of the research are borne by the client.

<Designated Donations>: Donations accepted from companies, corporations, and individual benefactors for the purpose of enhancing academic research and education.

On-campus research support guide

Aoyama Gakuin University At Aoyama campus, Research Support Department Research Promotion Division provides support for research expenses, and at Sagamihara campus, Sagamihara Campus Administration Department Research Promotion Division provides support for research expenses, including Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research.

URA will work together with faculty and staff to provide the following support.
