Message from the Dean

Welcome to Graduate School of International Management (ABS: Aoyama Business School（ABS)). The mission of ABS is to cultivate creative leaders who are socially responsible and act as global citizens, and to pave the way for a prosperous future through cutting-edge research activities.

In recognition of its cutting-edge education and academic activities that meet global standards, ABS's MBA program has been accredited by the international accreditation body EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) Global, and is also accredited by ABEST21 (The Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow a 21st Century organization).

With a unique curriculum, school culture, and an ideal location in Aoyama, Tokyo, ABS offers a learning experience that will leave a lasting impression on your life. In the first year, you will learn (refresh) the basics through compulsory subjects across nine fields, and from the second half of the first year to the second year, you will develop specialized and practical skills through elective subjects. We offer a wide range of elective subjects, from those specializing in important domestic issues to those including overseas training. Another feature is that we offer many donated courses (elective subjects) by many leading companies. Finally, you will culminate your learning in the practical subject "Aoyama Action Learning (AAL)". The greatest attraction of this program is that you can experience a change in yourself through the trinity of compulsory subjects, elective subjects, and AAL.

Another feature of the university is that it is steadily growing its global academic network while promoting international learning experiences. In addition, it is focusing on SDGs/ESG-related research and education, and is working to create an environment where students can continue to learn for life by continuing to support not only current students, but also graduates, local companies, and society. We are constantly striving to improve the quality of our practical learning experiences while building many collaborative relationships and not being satisfied with the status quo.
