At Aoyama Gakuin University, recognizing that research activities are based on trust and confidence from society, we have established the "Aoyama Gakuin University Guidelines on Research and Educational Ethics" as a fundamental principle for researchers to conduct their research fairly and honestly. Based on these guidelines, Aoyama Gakuin University promotes "Initiatives for the Appropriate Use of Research Funds" and "Initiatives for Research Integrity, etc." to ensure the fairness and appropriateness of research activities.
The "Aoyama Gakuin University Guidelines on Research and Educational Ethics" establish fundamental principles and codes of conduct for researchers conducting research activities at Aoyama Gakuin University, ensuring they fulfill the trust and expectations placed upon them by society and conduct their research fairly and honestly. In addition to the basic responsibilities of researchers and fairness in research activities, the guidelines define fundamental principles concerning all aspects of research activities at Aoyama Gakuin University, including the appropriate use of research funds, consideration for human rights, safety management, prevention of conflicts of interest, necessary ethical review and other approvals, and research ethics education.
