RESEARCH About the Research

Although invisible to the eye, electricity, electronics, and magnetism are indispensable to modern society. Their applications are incredibly broad, and innovation is progressing every day. Electrical engineering and electronics engineering support and advance our lives and society by controlling and applying these elements.

Because its applications extend to all industrial fields, we provide an exciting learning environment where you can engage in cutting-edge and original research. Our research topics include, for example, ambient radio waves used in everything from mobile phones to building walls, ultrafast quantum electronics, solar cars and robots, bio-sensory technology, various sensors using films as thin as a single carbon atom, diamond thin films, and nanoelectronics for processing atomic-sized materials. We are constantly challenging ourselves to create new devices. Every project is cutting-edge, original, and exciting.

Under these learning conditions, Aoyama Gakuin University focuses on multifaceted education to ensure that students acquire a balanced combination of the applied skills necessary to respond promptly to evolving technologies and the fundamental skills that serve as the source for creating new technologies.
