Educational and research objectives

Department of Marketing aims to develop self-help individuals who can ask questions, find logical solutions, and make decisions about the marketing issues that companies and society face by providing education that fuses intercultural understanding with integrated marketing as its axis. In addition, Department of Business Administration and Department of Marketing complement each other to build a higher level of education and research system.

Diploma Policy (Policy on Graduation Certification and Degree Awarding)

Department of Marketing will award a Bachelor of Business Administration to students who meet the following requirements.

■ Knowledge and skills
- Understand the trends in consumer society and the significance of market changes, and acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for value creation by for-profit and non-profit organizations.
?You will be able to understand specialized concepts related to marketing.
- Have acquired the information processing and analytical skills essential for marketing.

■Thinking ability, judgment ability, expressive ability
Students will be able to use their expert knowledge to analyze various marketing issues faced by profit-making and non-profit organizations, comprehensively consider countermeasures based on various marketing theories, and appropriately express the process and results.

On the global stage, students will be able to express their opinions appropriately to business people from various countries, taking into consideration the history, culture, religious background, etc. of the other party. And they will have acquired the language skills that will make this possible.

■ Motivation, interest, and attitude
- Ability to proactively contribute to society with a sense of mission and responsibility as a corporate and social worker.
- Work effectively in groups and have the motivation to contribute to group results.

Curriculum Policy (Policy for creating and implementing educational curriculum)

Building upon foundational studies in management, accounting, and marketing, students will gain a deeper understanding of marketing through a diverse range of specialized subjects. The program provides a comprehensive learning environment where students can simulate real-world business challenges and engage in problem-solving both individually and in groups. Furthermore, it offers courses to cultivate essential language skills for success on a global stage, as well as to deepen general knowledge and intercultural understanding. Courses covering data analysis related to marketing, such as consumer analysis and sales analysis, are also included.

Building upon foundational and common specialized subjects, students will acquire fundamental perspectives and knowledge of marketing. They will also gain an understanding of the essence of modern marketing, which emphasizes value creation and a social perspective. Furthermore, through practical exercises, they will deepen their independent learning and develop the ability to summarize research findings.

Admission Policy

■ Knowledge and skills
Students will have an understanding of the contents of Japanese language, foreign language, geography and history, civics, mathematics, etc., and will have knowledge equivalent to that of a high school graduate.

■Thinking ability, judgment ability, expressive ability
?Be able to express and communicate your ideas clearly.
?Ability to consider things from multiple perspectives and logically, and organize one's thoughts.

■ Motivation, interest, and attitude
After understanding the characteristics of the department, students have an interest in language, culture, literature, history, human beings, thought, religion, local areas, society, etc., and are motivated to pursue these interests through their studies at university and to contribute to society.
They value teamwork and are eager to utilize their knowledge, skills, thinking ability, judgment, and expression for the team's success.
